Aloe Vera Plant benefits, thanks to a mate of mine.

Just a little bit of background, I have this mate Jimmy, I use to have a nick name for him "Mung bean eating greenie" well that has gone by the way side, because he has converted me to thinking differently to what I put into and on my body now.

I now grow my own Mung beans/Sprouts and 99% of what I eat is self cooked, and when I am looking for a remedy I ask him what is the best natural product to use. Reasons for this years I have always look for a magic pill. I have learnt that most of the time the magic pill is as simple as changing your diet.

One day while visiting Jimmy at his 2 acre property he cut off a piece of plant and started rubbing the gooey content over his arms and face, I thought he was mad! but he insisted that I try it, with a lot of reluctance. It was gooey and slimy but after what I know now as an Aloe Vera Plant, once the goo dried I felt refreshed and as if I had just got out of the shower, yes clean and fresh.

So I did some research and found a whole range of benefits the Aloe Vera gel helps with, it contains two hormones: Auxin and Gibberellins, these two hormones provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. Additionally, in Ayurvedic medicine, Aloe Vera Gel is used to effectively heal chronic skin problems, such as psoriasis, acne and eczema.

Most people use Aloe Vera Gel as a remedy for skin conditions, including burns, sunburn, frostbite, psoriasis and cold sores, but there is a host of other Aloe Vera Gel benefits is used for treating osteoarthritis, bowel diseases, fever, itching and inflammation.

So far for me Aloe Vera Gel is the best hand, face and body moisturiser I have found so far to date.
